Egregia

Commonly known as Feather Boa Kelp, Egregia  occurs in Eastern Pacific coastal waters. It lives in moderately exposed areas in the mid-subtidal zones. This plant is dark brown in color and grows from a holdfast.

Our PlastiKelp Egregia has a long central stipe with many flat, lateral blades, some with float bladders. Multi-branched plants are also available. Our model is priced per 40 centimeters of stipe with the option to add a threaded anchor #3 and holdfast #4 combination. Strands can have a more natural termination by adding terminal blades, otherwise, the strands simply have a “broken off ” appearance.
